Westridge Court, a popular shopping destination in Naperville, Illinois, managed by Brixmor Property Group, is set to undergo a significant transformation with a $53 million investment to renovate the center into a vibrant dining and entertainment hub, dubbed Block 59.
The ambitious project will add approximately 90,000 square feet of space dedicated to new dining experiences. The expansion will bring a variety of national restaurant chains to the area, including The Cheesecake Factory, Yard House, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, along with other notable names such as Piccolo Buco by Cooper’s Hawk, Shake Shack, Stan’s Donuts, First Watch, Fresh Fin, Crisp & Green, and Velvet Taco.
These food and beverage outlets are intended to complement the existing Lazy Dog restaurant and Water E. Smithe furniture store, adding to the variety and appeal of Westridge Court.
Community focus and design improvements
Central to the redevelopment plans is the construction of an outdoor plaza that will serve as a focal point for community interaction and events throughout the year. This space is designed to be surrounded by newly constructed outdoor dining areas, providing an inviting atmosphere for visitors.
Additional improvements include the installation of a new parking garage, updated signage, and aesthetically pleasing landscaping. The redevelopment effort also focuses on sustainability, with the introduction of energy-efficient lighting and improvements to pedestrian and vehicle flow within the center.
This comprehensive redevelopment initiative will transform Westridge Court into a premier dining and entertainment destination, promising to attract visitors from across the Chicago area and beyond.
